Brig. Gen. Matthew Glavy awards Lance Cpl. Jedidiah Hunt with The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in front of Marines with Marine Attack Squadron 231 during an award ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 28, 2016. The Marines took a brief pause from their pre-deployment preparations to award Hunt for outstanding performance in his duties during an exercise in May 2016. The squadron is slated to continue training for their upcoming deployment in the fall. Glavy is the commanding general for 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing and Hunt is an aircraft mechanic with VMA-231.
