Lance Cpl. Brandon Black puts on his gear during a timed response drill aboard Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, N.C, Nov. 30, 2016. Aircraft firefighting and rescue specialists assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron 271, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, participated in a two-week field exercise conducted by the squadron. The AARF Marines’ ability to be at the scene of a mishap is timed down to the second during training evolutions like as this to measure their readiness in responding to real world catastrophes.
