Cpl. Francis Carleo, top, and Cpl. Andrew Silva grapple during the culminating event of the Martial Arts Instructor course aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 3, 2017. The Marines endured intense physical training, written examinations, and practical application during the three-week course. The course is meant to instill the skills to proficiently instruct the disciplines of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
