Lt. Col. Brendan Burks, right, recognizes Cpl. Nathan Hall after his “Safety Win of the Week” during an operational reset at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Aug. 21, 2017. While conducting maintenance at Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252, Hall noticed an irregularity and took the necessary steps to protect the integrity of the KC-130. The squadron conducted the operational reset to focus on fundamentals of safe flight operations, standardization and combat readiness, in keeping with guidance from Gen. Robert Neller, Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps. Burks is the commanding officer of VMGR-252, Marine Aircraft Group 14, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing; and Hall is a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic assigned to VMGR-252. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Pfc.
