Command Biography
MACG-28 Executive Officer
Major Joshua N. Anderson

Major Anderson is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a BA in History. 

As a company grade officer, his operational assignments include Legal Officer, Platoon Commander, Battery Executive Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer, 2d Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion (Unit Deployment Program (UDP) - Okinawa, Japan); Assistant Operations Officer and Battery Commander, 2d Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion.  

As a field grade officer, his operational assignments include Assistant Operations Officer, Marine Air Control Group 28; Executive Officer, 2d Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion; Staff Secretary, 2d Marine Aircraft Wing, and Executive Officer, Marine Air Control Group 28.

His supporting establishment assignments include instructor and Staff Platoon Commander (SPC), The Basic School (TBS); Faculty Advisor, Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS). 

Major Anderson’s civilian and military education include: Low Altitude Air Defense Officers Course (with honors), Expeditionary Warfare School Blended Seminar Program (Distinguished Graduate), Marine Corps Command and Staff (Distinguished Graduate), with a Masters in Military Studies.

Major Anderson’s personal awards and decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation with Gold Star, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
