Command Biography

2D MAW Command Master Chief
CMDCM(SW/AW/IW) Patrick I. Lampley

Master Chief Lampley is a native of Paramaribo, Suriname, and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Upon graduation from George W. Wingate High School he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August 1999 and completed Recruit Training Command and Seaman Apprenticeship Training in Great Lakes Illinois.

Upon graduation, he reported for duty onboard the USS SACRAMENTO (AOE 1) as an undesignated Seaman.  He completed three Western Pacific deployments and advanced to Storekeeper Second Class.

His fleet assignments include USS NICHOLAS (FFG 47) in Norfolk VA USS PATRIOT (MCM-7) in Sasebo Japan, USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN76) in Yokosuka Japan. USS In addition, Master Chief Lampley completed shore duty assignments at Commander, Fleet Activities Okinawa Japan, and NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center Sigonella Site Naples.

In 2018, he was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program and advanced to Command Master Chief. His previous Command Master Chief tours includes JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56) in Yokosuka Japan, USS CHIEF (MCM 14) in Sasebo Japan, USS ASHLAND (LSD 48) in Sasebo Japan, and USS AMERICA (LHA 6) in Sasebo Japan and he is currently serving as the Command Master Chief for 2D Marine Aircraft Wing, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina.

Master Chief Lampley holds an Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, California. He is also a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 172 Gray), the Command Master Chief /Chief of the Boat Course, the Senior Enlisted Executive Leadership Course, the Keystone Course, and the Advanced Command Master Chief Course.

Master Chief Lampley’s personal qualifications and awards include the Enlisted Surface Warfare, Enlisted Aviation Warfare and the Enlisted Information Warfare; Two Meritorious Service Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (six awards), three Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medals, and various unit and service ribbons and citations.
