Major Jason M. Constance is a native of Pickens, SC and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Wesleyan University in Central, SC in 2005.
He was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in December 2010 at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, VA. 2nd Lieutenant Constance attended The Basic School in Quantico, VA, graduating with Delta Co 4-10 in November 2011. He then reported to NAS Pensacola, FL to begin flight training. He completed Initial Flight Screening, and while awaiting Aviation Preflight Indoctrination, 2ndLt Constance was assigned to 1st LAR Bn as the battalion range officer. Upon his return to NAS Pensacola in summer 2011, 2nd Lieutenant Constance completed Aviation Preflight Indoctrination, and then transferred to NAS Corpus Christi, TX for Primary Flight Training in the T-34C. He was promoted to the rank of 1st Lieutenant in December 2012.
Upon completion of Primary Flight Training, 1st Lieutenant Constance was selected for the rotary wing aircraft training pipeline, and transferred to NAS Whiting Field, FL for Advanced Flight Training in the TH-57B and TH-57C. He was designated a Winged Naval Aviator in February, 2013.
Upon earning his wings, 1st Lieutenant Constance reported to HMLAT-303, MCAS Camp Pendleton, to begin flying the AH-1W Cobra. During this time he also served as the squadron intelligence officer (S-2). He was promoted to the rank of Captain in January 2014. In December 2014, Captain Constance was medically grounded from flight status, and redesignated to 6602 Aviation Supply Officer in January 2015.
Captain Constance then reported to MALS-14, MCAS Cherry Point, NC for duty as an aviation supply officer. Captain Constance attended the Aviation Supply BQC at Naval Station Newport, RI. Upon completion of the BQC, he returned to MALS-14, where he served as the CMD OIC, RMD OIC, Adjutant/Legal Officer, Assistant Aviation Supply Officer, and Executive Officer.
Upon completion of his tour at MALS-14 in June 2018, Captain Constance reported to Fleet Readiness Center - East for duty as the Components Military Deputy. He was selected for promotion to Major during this tour and subsequently slated for orders to NAVSUP-WSS, Philadelphia, PA.
Upon arrival at NAVSUP-WSS in July 2019, he served as the Marine Corps Liaison for Industrial Support, and was promoted to his current rank in October 2019. Major Constance then assumed the role of AV-8B Integrated Weapon Systems Team Director on 15 May, 2020, where he managed the repairable component support for all U.S. Marine Corps, Italian Navy and Spanish Navy AV-8 Harrier aircraft.
Major Constance reported to Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 31 in the summer of 2022. There he has served as the Operations Officer, Aviation Supply Officer, and assumed the duties of Executive Officer in May 2024.
Major Constance is a graduate of Officer Candidate School, The Basic School, Expeditionary Warfare School, Command and Staff College (Distinguished Graduate), Aviation Supply Officer Basic Qualification Course, and the Joint Logistics Course. Additionally, Major Constance holds the additional MOS of 6607 - Aviaiton Logistician.
Major Constance’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Gold Star, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
