Marines from 13 different commands board the SS Curtiss on March 2 for a month long deployment. The ship will be traveling through the Panama Canal on its way to Sunny Point, N.C., where it will pick up aviation logistics equipment from the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. The SS Curtiss is scheduled to return to San Diego in early April.
