Sgt. Aaron Burke and Cpl. Dustin B. Moore use snow shoes for the first time in front of the Sierra Mountains during cold weather training at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center, Calif., Jan. 9, 2016. The cold weather training done in the Sierra Mountains is a warm-up to Exercise Cold Response 2016 in Norway. More than 800 Marines participated in the two-week-long exercise that taught basic mobility in snow, defensive and offensive tactics as well as basic cold weather and high altitude conditions training. 2nd Low Altitude Air Defense Battalion provides anti-air warfare support for the Marine Air Ground Task Force.
