An F/A-18 Hornet sits on display at the 2016 Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Air Show – “Celebrating 75 Years” at MCAS Cherry Point, N.C., April 29, 2016. The F/A-18 Hornet is a twin-engine, all-weather, day or night jet that can be used for fighter escorts, enemy air defense suppression, reconnaissance, air control and close air support. This year’s air show celebrated MCAS Cherry Point and 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s 75th anniversary with our biggest line-up of military demonstration teams including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor, the USMC F-35B Lightning II and many more.
