Brig. Gen. Matthew Glavy addresses Marines with Marine Attack Squadron 231 during a pre-deployment brief aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Sept. 28, 2016. The Marines took a brief pause as part of their pre-deployment preparations to receive a few words of encouragement from the commanding general. Glavy wished the Marines a safe journey as they are slated to continue training for their upcoming deployment in the fall. Glavy is the commanding general of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing.
