Lance Cpl. Carson Batterton, a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic, salutes the pilot of an AV-8B Harrier II as he departs the staging area at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, Feb. 18, 2021. Marines with Marine Attack Training Squadron 203 (VMAT-203) trained with ordnance in an unfamiliar environment in order to increase proficiency in critical mission skills such as low altitude tactics, complex maneuvers, and close air support.
