During the squadron’s biannual Leonidas Award competition Marines from the squadron’s three companies go head-to-head for a place in MWCS-28 history. The Installation Personnel Administration Center opened the first "NCO Den" for its junior leaders at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., Feb. 12, 2015. The purpose of the den is to provide the NCOs with a meeting place to develop strategies, share ideas and propagate best practices to better guide the junior Marines of IPAC. More than 100 Marines with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., participated in exercise Lagoon Breach, an integrated exercise conducted to test Marines ability to operate in an austere environment and practice their field expediency.
